North Vancouver Field Hockey Club
Our History
NVFHC was formed in 1928 as an adjunct to what was then North Vancouver High School - later known as North Vancouver Senior Secondary School. The school colours were green & white which are still kept as a nod to our history. Many outstanding players came from that school & continued to play for NVan after leaving school - i.e.. Moira Rerrie who played for Canada in 1948, 1949 & 1954 against California teams and Canada internationally in 1956, 1959 & 1963. and Mary Dempsey (1936 scored the only goal against Australia) & later her daughter Margaret played for NVan.

As the years went on, and field space became limited, the club decided to move into a better field at Eric Hamber which is also more accessible.
